COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — As the extreme heat persists, Columbus Recreation and Parks is helping neighbors stay cool with extended hours at community centers, pools, and spraygrounds at this time.
Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 28, cooling centers will be open at five area community centers and hours will be extended at pools and spraygrounds. These changes will be in effect until cooler temperatures arrive.
Extended Hours: 8 a.m.– 9 p.m.

• Driving Park Community Center: 1100 Rhoads Ave., 43206
• Glenwood Community Center: 1888 Fairmont Ave., 43223

• Marion Franklin Community Center: 2801 Lockbourne Road, 43207

• Regular program hours: 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
Extended Hours: 4 – 7:30 p.m.
