Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (Ohio) is appearing Wednesday evening in Wisconsin to promote the Trump campaign's policies for the economy and energy.
Vance's Wisconsin visit takes the Ohio senator to building materials manufacturer Amerilux International. It will be his second stop at an infrastructure company in a swing state today, following close on a midafternoon appearance at Hardinger Logistics in Erie, Pa.
Former President Trump and running mate Vance have in recent weeks made the case that the Biden administration has done a poor job of steering the economy back on track — a point with which the Harris campaign emphatically disagrees.
In the Badger State, Vice President Harris is leading the former president by 3 percentage points — 49.3 percent to 46.3 percent — according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling index.
Vance is slated to speak in De Pere, Wis., a suburb of Green Bay, at 7 p.m. EDT.
