Josh Allen is quite a divisive figure in the NFL according to his own peers, but it’s clear he stands above the rest in one key way: trash talking.
On Tuesday, ESPN released a feature chronicling the answers of 103 anonymous NFL players ranking the league’s quarterbacks on a variety of issues. From the best overall to the most promising rookie quarterback, ESPN polled the 100-plus players on a handful of intriguing questions.
Interestingly enough, Allen not only ranked as the fourth-best current quarterback — behind Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow — he was also ranked the most overrated quarterback by his peers. Fascinating dichotomy there!
Even more hilarious, however, is that his NFL peers also ranked him the No. 1 trash talking quarterback in the league.
“He’s going to run you over and talk trash after he runs you over,” a NFC East player said, according to ESPN.
And on Wednesday, Allen responded to his peers with a great Twitter post about it all.
So you’re telling me, I was voted as the #1 … best trash talker??? Let’s goooooo!!! pic.twitter.com/Tlz8M7g195
