A WOMAN who was sick of her neighbours peeping into her garden has revealed that she made her own DIY privacy fence, using £4 planks of wood.
Although having a friendly rapport with our neighbours is great, often we want to prevent them from being able to see into our gardens, so that we can live privately.
And Shayna Alnwick has come up with a quick and easy solution to prevent people from peering over your garden fence.
Taking to TikTok, the DIY lover shared that she went to her local hardware store, and picked up some 1x4m treated pieces of wood, which cost £4 each and a Wagner Flexio 35000 spray gun.
Shayna then chose a paint colour and loaded up the sprayer with it.
Using the detail finishing nozzle setting she then “sprayed my heart away.”
“This sprayed so effortlessly”, she said.
After the paint had dried, Shayna flipped the plank over and painted the other side.
“I did about 22 pieces of wood in just under an hour”, she said.
Then, using a ladder and a nail gun, she began fixing the screen together.
Shayna fixed the screen to her outside decking area, layering the planks right up to the top, so that no nosy neighbours would be able to see through.
“In just over half a day I was able to create this amazing, beautiful DIY privacy screen”, she said.
Her video, which was posted under the username @theflippedpiece, has likely left many people open-mouthed, as it has racked up over two million views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts, and many were impressed.
One person said: “I love you for this. This is exactly what I need.”
