A best-selling and award-winning indie rock band from South Africa is coming to Cyprus for an exclusive performance in Paphos. In front of the iconic Paphos Medieval Castle, the esteemed band will perform live, introducing their legendary sound to Cyprus audiences and fans. Founded in 1998, The Parlotones are an indie rock band that has won several South African Music Awards. In 2009, they were the first South African band to headline at the Coca-Cola Dome, and also performed at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Concert along with Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and Alicia Keys. Making up the band are Kahn Morbee, Neil Pauw, brothers Glen and Paul Hodgson as well as Rob Davidson, who joined full-time in 2017 and Trevor Rebello in 2023.
Their music is influenced by the likes of The Smiths, Coldplay and Radiohead, and the band has even performed alongside Coldplay and Snow Patrol. Following sold-out concerts around the world, The Parlotones are coming to Cyprus this autumn for a single show in Paphos. Ready to meet with Cyprus audiences, the band will perform all of the classics from their nine studio albums – Episoda, Radio Controlled Robot, A World Next Door to Yours, Stardust Galaxies, Journey Through the Shadows, Stand Like Giants, Antiques and Artefacts, China and Strike the Harp. Also performing on the evening will be a series of Cypriot stars with international fame – Silia Kapsis, Andrew Lambrou, Minus One and The Crew.
