The U.S. Open started on Monday, and not a moment too soon. I went on the opening day and although I knew it was going to be filled with chic onlookers and Zendaya wannabes, I was pleasantly surprised at the familiar faces I saw in the stands, like Kerry Washington, Billie Jean King, Phoebe Dynevor, and Myha’la Herrold, to name a few. Plus: Last year’s winners, Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic, were on the courts, ready to defend their titles.
