OAKLAND – A person was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon in East Oakland, according to authorities.
The fatal shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the 2400 block of International Boulevard, between 24th and 25th avenues, the Oakland Police Department said in a news release.
Officers arrived to find a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the person’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide are under investigation. No arrests were announced Tuesday.
