Armie Hammer is sharing an update about his life ahead of his 38th birthday.
The Social Network actor has confirmed that he is moving back to Los Angeles after spending several years in the Cayman Islands. He also is selling his beloved truck because he can no longer afford the gas money.
Armie hasn’t been working in Hollywood for years after he was accused of cannibalism and sexual assault by multiple partners in 2021. He was not charged with any crimes and continues to deny all criminal allegations.
Armie gave fans the update in a video that he filmed in a CarMax parking lot while getting ready to give up his truck.

“So I’ve been back in L.A. for a couple of weeks now. This is my truck. I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself. I have loved this truck intensely and taken it camping and across the country multiple times and on long road trips and I’ve taken it on one last road trip… to CarMax,” Armie said in the video.
He said in the video, “This is not an ad for CarMax. This is because I’m selling my truck. Since being back in L.A., I have put about $400 or $500 worth of gas in it and I can’t afford it. I can’t afford the gas anymore. I mean, this truck, it took the kids home from the hospital and all that stuff. Amazing trips, but you know what, that’s okay. I’ve got a new car. It’s tiny. It’s a hybrid. I’m probably going to put about 10 bucks of gas in it a month and this is it.”
“Here’s to new beginnings. It’s my birthday tomorrow. So, August 28, I will be starting my birthday in a a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles,” Armie added.
While speaking to his car, he said, “Thank you very much. You have gotten me a long way and I appreciate it all. I hope you take as good of care of the next person.”
Armie concluded the video by saying, “I just keep telling myself that parking is going to be easier and gas is going to be cheaper.”
