We had the hottest day of the year today, with highs back in the mid to upper 90s with plenty of dry(ish) sunshine. Dewpoints, while in the range where you can feel it a bit, are much lower than the mid-upper 70s to our west. That is where the most explosive airmass is to the north/northwest and west of us.

As we head into Wednesday, we will have a warmer start to the day in the lower 70s, with humidity increasing a bit, as dewpoints will push into the lower 70s by the afternoon. Along with temps in the middle 90s, this should push our feels like temps to the low 100s. Along with that, we will also have a risk of some stronger storms possible with gusty winds later in the day on Wednesday.

Thursday, the front that came through bringing storms late on Wednesday will stall to our south, and meander back north. This will keep our temps still in the lower 90s on Thursday, and could be enough to give us an isolated storm late day on Thursday. Friday, we will be hot and soupy again, with highs back into the middle 90s ahead of our next cold front.

Expect rain and storm chances late Friday into Friday overnight. Rain chances will be the highest Saturday early, and then quickly fall off, as the cold front pushes east. Temps will not be cool at all on Saturday, but will see a good drop from this work week, as highs will be in the middle 80s. Skies will clear for Sunday, with mostly sunny skies, and highs in the middle 80s.

A secondary, dry cold front will push through to close the traditional weekend, with cooler air expected for the extended weekend on Labor Day, with mostly sunny skies, and highs in the upper 70s. We will have mostly sunny skies again on Tuesday, with just enjoyable weather, with highs in the upper 70s.
