Kerry Washington attended the 2024 US Open yesterday held at Billie Jean King Tennis Center in New York. The “Scandal” star attended the championships with her mother Valerie Washington.
Keeping her look classic, the actress graced the blue carpet in a pair of neutral-toned pumps. The silhouette featured brown leather uppers in a glossy style that transitioned into pointed toes and 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels. The neutral choice was a smart one, especially when partnered with the similarly neutral picks in her ensemble.
Following her attendance at the sporting event, Kerry tagged Ralph Lauren on her Instagram story. It is likely the entirety of her ensemble hails from the designer brand. It’s only fitting, given the brand and the event are full-on American, celebrating all things patriotism. The 2024 U.S. Open Tennis Championships takes place from Aug. 26, through Sept. 8. Matches will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Sling TV. Athletes will compete for a title and total prize money of $75m, a 15 percent increase from 2023. Notable contenders include Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka.
So far, the championships have gathered a crowd of impressive famous folk including Anna Wintour, Vera Wang, Misty Copeland, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Katie Couric and Billie Jean King, among others.
