The 2024 US Open Tennis Championships has finally kicked off, giving fans of tennis and fashion something to rave about. The US Open tennis tournament has been held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, in Queens, New York since 1978, and celebrities have been making the trek from all over to watch their favorite tennis stars play.
So far, the championships have gathered a crowd of impressive famous folk including Anna Wintour, Vera Wang, Kerry Washington, Misty Copeland, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Katie Couric and Billie Jean King, among others. In honor of said famous crowd and a love for all things tennis
The lineup includes notable contenders like Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka. The sporting event, which takes place from Aug. 26, through Sept. 8., will see athletes compete for a title and total prize money of $75 million, a 15 percent increase from 2023. Matches will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Sling TV.

The “Scandal” star made the tennis championships a family affair, bringing along her mother Valerie Washington. Keeping her look classic, the actress graced the blue carpet in a pair of neutral-toned pumps. The star’s footwear pick featured brown leather uppers in a glossy style that transitioned into triangular toes and 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels.
In a summer-ready style, Kerry sported white high-waisted shorts, accompanied by a deep blue collared button-down layered overtop a matching blue ribbed cami. Rounding out her look, Kerry sported leather accessories that matched the neutral hue of her pumps.
Vogue’s editor-in-chief took the stands in a pair of reptilian-inspired booties. The style encompassed slouchy white leather uppers featuring black dotting throughout that imparted a reptilian quality. Gold buckle accents were fixed to the sides, fed through adjustable straps that appeared to alter the fit of the shoe. Triangular toes gave way to sturdy 2 to 3-inch block heels, offering the British media executive a subtle boost in height.
Paired alongside her booties, Wintour sported a maxi-length dress in white and black featuring a floral print that looked as if it were painted on.
Summer-ready, the “Black Panther” star donned a pair of slingback sandals. The silhouette included metallic silver uppers, neon yellow accents and buckle-esque accents that sat atop the foot. Open rectangular toes gave way to slingback straps that secured the shoe in place. The silhouette can be likened to styles from Roger Vivier.
Like many of the championship attendees, Gurira was outfitted in Ralph Lauren. The star’s look was comprised of a blue ribbed knit maxi dress featuring a collared neckline paired with a light gray leather mini bag.
In a sky-high style, the renowned journalist sported a pair of strappy wedge espadrilles. The footwear silhouette featured neutral crisscrossing straps with black trim accompanied by black straps around the ankles, threaded through adjustable buckle closures. Woven wedge heels rounded out the set, offering Couric a boost.
Flirty and sweet, the summer-centric silhouette complimented her beachy-inspired wears. Couric wore a sleeveless white and black top with a geometric print paired with a free-flowing white maxi skirt fixed with a drawstring closure. A woven tan bag and black sunglasses finished off Couric’s look.
Attending alongside her boyfriend Paul Forman, Park went for an athletic-inspired ensemble, wearing items from Aperol’s Tennis Capsule Collection, inspired by TikTok’s latest tennis core trend. The “Emily in Paris” star sported neutral shoes with cream and tan leather uppers. The silhouette can be likened to boat shoes or a traditional loafer. Rubber soles rounded out the set.
Preppy and elegant, Park wore a mesh collared short-sleeve top with orange accents accompanied by sleek white trousers that were belted. Atop her head, the thespian sported a white headband in a chunky style and thin cat eye sunnies on her face.
Ultra sharp, Copeland attended the championships in a pair of black mules. The dancer’s slip-on footwear pick, hailing from Giuseppe Zanotti, featured glossy black patent leather straps and open pointed toes in gold. 1 to 2-inch stiletto heels finished off the style.
In perfect preppy fashion, the ballet star donned a Dolce & Gabbana dress in black and white featuring a sweet Peter Pan collar. Additionally, Copeland toted a black leather Valentino clutch fixed with a chain strap.
