Kate Middleton’s rare outing at a recent church service has eased concerns about her wellbeing amid her health struggles.
On August 25, the Princess of Wales joined some members of the royal family for a Sunday church service at Crathie Kirk church in Scotland, near the family’s Balmoral estate, sporting a unique look that reminded supporter of her boho days back in the early 2000s. But that wasn’t the only detail that captured attention!
After Middleton was seen, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail, grinning joyously while riding in car alongside her husband, Prince William, their son Prince George, a body language expert was quick to notice signs that suggest Middleton is doing well despite a challenging past year.
Speaking to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James noted that Middleton looked “relaxed” while in the car. “Kate looks chatty and animated here and as she turns her head to speak her brows are raised,” she noted. “But there is one even stronger sign of authentic, relaxed happiness. We can see her teeth gleaming in a smile that is mirrored by William’s smile as they drive to church.”
The outing is only Middleton’s second official public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis back in March and, according to James, she’s looking more upbeat than ever!
“The important ‘tell’ though comes from the very distinct dimple we can see at the side of her cheek, which suggests she’s truly enjoying the outing as well as the company in the car. The hat with its feather gives a jaunty look too, making Kate look positive and upbeat here.”
Middleton last stepped out at the Trooping the Color ceremony in London back in June, joining her kids, husband and in-laws on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. Ahead of that outing, she gave a candid update on her cancer treatment.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she revealed in a statement at the time. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
Middleton has been residing between her and William’s Adelaide Cottage, their home in Windsor, and Anmer Hall, their holiday home in Norfolk since the announcement that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
