BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Brooklyn affordable housing lottery has apartments that cost just $454 a month, according to its listing on NYC Housing Connect.
Weeksville Place, located at 1559 Prospect Pl., has amenities like bike storage, air conditioning, a playground, a community center, numerous outdoor areas and an on-site resident manager.
There is a preference for people over the age of 62 for apartments that cost between 30% and 40% of the area median income. There are 36 units up for grabs through the affordable housing lottery, according to its listing.
Tenants are responsible for paying for electric. Applicants must make between $18,480 to $134,160 to be eligible for consideration.
The complex is near the Nos. 3, 4, A and C trains.
