1.FC Koln will only agree to sell Dejan Ljubicic to Leeds United if the Whites double their offer.
The German side are opposed to selling Ljubicic and have already turned down a bid of €4m from Leeds.
The player has been keen to make the move, but Koln feel he is a difference-maker who is not easy to replace and have so far been proven correct.
He has scored twice and provided one assist in Koln’s three opening league games this season and the club are clear on what is needed to sell.
According to German outlet Fussball Transfers, Leeds would need to double their €4m proposal to €8m in order to get Koln to sell.
Leeds could go back in for Ljubicic before the window closes as they bid to boost Daniel Farke’s options.
The Whites have brought in big sums this summer by selling stars such as Crysencio Summerville, Glen Kamara, Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter.
Forking out €8m to land Ljubicic from Koln could be something Leeds are prepared to do as they battle for promotion to the Premier League.
