Zahara Jolie Appears to Be Thriving in College
While the nepo baby class of 2024 is in for a rude awakening as college picks up this fall, other more seasoned nepo babies are already hitting their stride at school. That certainly seems true of Zahara Jolie, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who looks to be having a grand old time at Spelman College as she starts her junior year. In a TikTok video posted last week (and spotted by TMZ on Monday), the 19-year-old can be seen dancing during the university’s Welcome Back Jam with Alpha Kappa Alpha — the first historically Black sorority, which she joined last year. Alongside her AKA sisters performing choreography for her fellow students, Zahara looks like she’s having so much fun. After all, isn’t that what college is for?!
TikTok users also quickly spotted Jolie in the crowd of AKA girls, commenting “Come on Soror Zahara!!” and “The excitement that I felt when I see Zahara !!!!!! go ahead and live your best college life girllllll [sic] yasssss !” After a year of membership at the Atlanta-based sorority, Zahara joins the likes of another famous AKA member: Vice President and current Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, of the Howard University chapter. And while those are certainly some big shoes to fill, at least for the moment, let’s hope this nepo teen isn’t thinking too hard about her future career ambitions. For now, the most pressing matter for a junior-year girl is making sure she’s enjoying the benefits of Greek life, and Zahara definitely looks to be doing just that.
As you’ll recall, when Zahara was first initiated into AKA, she announced that she’d dropped Pitt from her last name, keeping only Jolie moving forward. Since then, her sister Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has done the same, legally changing her name to Shiloh Jolie when she turned 18 in May. As Jolie and Pitt’s contentious eight-year divorce rages on, it’s refreshing to see that Zahara has found some respite from the drama. She deserves this! Or, as one TikToker put it, “Zahara Jolie slayyyyy.”
