REI is in the middle of a massive Labor Day sale that's offering shoppers up to 40% off its bestselling camping gear from The North Face, Exped, and Thule, but there are also a ton of deals on outdoor clothing and footwear as well. The retailer's massively popular sun hoodie just went back on sale as did every single shoe from Keen's lineup. But one of the more surprising discounts was on Kuhl's ultra-popular hiking pants—and they're selling like wildfire.
Kuhl's Renegade Recon Pants are now on sale for $74—a 25% discount on the normal $99 price. These top-rated pants have already earned 75 five-star ratings from REI shoppers, but they're surging in popularity right now because of the discount, bumping them up into the No. 1 ranking among bestselling hiking pants on the site. They're on sale in six neutral colors and come in waist sizes ranging from 28 to 42 and inseam lengths of 30, 32, or 34 until Sept. 2.

These Kuhl hiking pants are ultra-technical, boasting a lightweight fabric that's constructed to be stretchy but rebound back into shape, provide UPF 50+ sun protection, resist abrasions, and dry quickly. They've also been designed with a gusseted crotch for front-to-back comfort, an elasticized waistband (with belt loops), and seven total pockets, including a secure zip pocket on the right side.
