OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City Police want to identify two people who they believe are connected to a quadruple shooting in Bricktown in mid-August. Officers released several photos of a man and woman, as well as a silver car, seen leaving the scene that Sunday morning.
“You get a pretty good look at the car there in a pretty good look at the suspect and the female driver who was driving the car as he fled,” said MSgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Police have not identified the man or woman, and the department has not made any arrests in the case.
Investigators believe the man seen in the pictures was likely the shooter. He reportedly fired shots into a crowd of people along Oklahoma and Sheridan Avenues in Bricktown around 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 18.
Officers nearby heard gunshots and ran to the scene. They spotted a man and chased after him. He reportedly flashed a gun, and the officers returned fire, missing the man.
"During the foot chase, he got into a silver sedan that was driven by a Black female. That sedan fled the scene," said Knight.
The woman was driving a silver car with a sunroof and a license plate on the front bumper.
They said several witnesses recorded video during the shooting which could be vital to the investigation.
“If you have cell phone video that you shot during this event, please reach out to our Crime Stoppers line,” said Knight, who said people can remain anonymous and possibly receive a reward.
KFOR was sent cell phone video from a witness taken while he was staying at a nearby hotel. The video showed officers checking on a victim lying in the middle of the street. Another video showed an ambulance arriving at the scene, then loading a person inside, and taking them to the hospital.
Police said all four of the victims shot have recovered from their injuries.
