both homered, Jose Ramirez stole two bases (and got thrown out trying to steal home) and Matthew Boyd threw another six strong before the Guardians bullpen closed it out with Emmanuel Clase earning his 38th save of the year, striking out the side.

The Rangers played some sloppy baseball, thankfully, helping the Guardians avoid what could have been a disastrous 10 day stretch that now turned out just "bad."
It's time for players like Josh Naylor and Steven Kwan to figure things out as the division rival Royals come to town with a mind to take the division lead. Beginning with a double-header today headlined for Cleveland in some form by Logan Allen and Joey Cantillo is an ominous sign. But this is where good teams show their mettle.
With that said, from 2023-2024, the Guardians are 1-15 in double-headers. Which seems like a somewhat impressive achievement. Law of averages comes into play today? I hope?
