Attempted ramming attack in the West Bank, IDF confirms terrorists eliminated
Two terrorists in a vehicle arrived from the direction of the Kfar Tapuah Junction to the entrance of Ariel in the West Bank and attempted a ramming attack against soldiers, the IDF confirmed on Sunday.
In the attack, the terrorists accelerated their vehicles in the opposite direction of traffic. Their vehicle collided with other vehicles and attempted to ram IDF soldiers operating in the area, the military stated.
IDF soldiers eliminated the terrorists and located ammunition and a military vest in their vehicle.
Troops dispatched to the area
As a result of the attack, an IDF soldier was lightly injured and was evacuated to the hospital to receive medical treatment, and his family was notified.
The IDF reported that soldiers were deployed in the area conducting searches.
A 39-year-old man sustained light wounds, and a woman in her late 60s suffered from anxiety as a result of the attack, Israeli media reported.
According to these reports, a Palestinian vehicle driving in the opposite direction to the traffic collided with Israeli vehicles and attempted to ram into a military outpost.
In a separate incident, a terrorist fired at soldiers while they were operating near Jenin and was killed, the IDF announced early Sunday morning. The terrorist also fired at a Menashe Brigade’s military post.
IDF forces conducted searches in the Jenin area for another terrorist who fired at the post.
Additionally, the Army Radio posted on X that an explosive device detonated on Saturday during an IDF operation in the northern West Bank.
The explosion occurred inside a water cistern near the settlement of Avnei Hefetz in the northern Samaria region.
No injuries were reported.
The IDF searched the area to locate suspects and rule out the presence of additional explosive devices
