While the 19-year-old’s talent was there for all to see at Burnley last season, some might have wondered whether he was ready to start for a club with Champions League aspirations.
The teenager certainly put those concerns to bed in his debut for the Lilywhites against Everton, showing the kind of enterprise and attacking intent on the ball that convinced Ange Postecoglou and co to bring him through the door.
Odobert’s willingness to take on his man gave Tottenham’s attack a different dimension while the youngster also impressed with his defensive work rate.
Following Spurs’ 4-0 win, the youngster has taken to Instagram to admit his delight at making his bow for the club and he thanked the fans for their support.
He wrote: ‘What a feeling to make my debut at home with a big win. Thank you for all your support, we keep going.’
