Porn Video Played On LED Board: Delhi’s famous Connaught Place made headlines for all the wrong reasons after an adult video played on a digital advertisement board on Thursday night. Reacting to the absurd and bizarre incident, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) officials suggested that the screen might have been “hacked” using advanced technology. Given the sensitivity of the matter, the Delhi Police has registered an FIR, officers informed PTI on Saturday. According to a police officer, a case has been lodged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). “Investigations are ongoing to nab the culprits behind the episode,” PTI quoted the officer as saying.

The obscene incident came to light after a passerby spotted the porn clip being played on one of the LED screens in Connaught Place’s H Block.

It is worth noting that the LED screen, on which the porn video was played, is installed at the famous landmark that falls under the NDMC area. The LED screen is typically used to display advertisements.

The porn clip was later removed by the NDMC officials after the intervention of the police, PTI reported.

The NDMC issued a statement after the incident. “Both panels are of international standard and controlled by a server which is completely secured with a firewall and antivirus. We are also providing hotspots free of cost for public usage in the NDMC areas,” the statement read.

The city authorities have put up ad boards in 50 unique locations, a move they describe as distinctive. They also mentioned that the issue of how their security firewall was overlooked is currently under their careful scrutiny.

In light of the unfortunate incident that occurred within the heart of our capital’s prominent commercial quarter, the NDMC assured that they are stepping up security. They explained that the security compromise was contained to one specific area, stressing that the rest of the district remains secure and unscathed.
