CHELSEA’s hat-trick hero Noni Madueke issued a grovelling apology after his accidental Instagram post dissing Wolverhampton.
The winger, 22, mistakenly shared a message on the wrong social media account showing his location as the West Midlands city and added: “Everything about this place is s***.”
The X-rated note went out before the Blues took on Wolves at Molineux, where he received a hostile reaction.
But, Madueke didn’t let the boo boys put him off his game as he netted three times in an emphatic 6-2 win for the away side.
After the game, the ex-PSV star faced the music about his Insta faux-pas.
He told Sky Sports: “I want to apologise to anyone I might have offended, it’s just a human mistake.
“It’s an accident, it wasn’t meant to be out on my socials like that. I’m sure Wolverhampton is a lovely town, I’m sorry.”
Addressing the reception he received, he said: “In terms of the boos, I expected it, but it’s part of the game.”
Madueke, who has nearly one million followers, quickly realised he had used the wrong social media account when he posted the unfortunate diss.
And he responded: “Damn wrong Instagram account. You lot are too fast.”
Madueke has now scored 13 goals and assisted three in 48 games for Chelsea since arriving for £28.5million in January 2023.
He has been linked with a move to Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
But Blues head coach Maresca insisted after Madueke’s goal in the win over Servette that he wants the Englishman to stay at the club.
He said: “I really like Noni.
