Bill Skarsgard is looking seriously ripped in his new movie The Crow, and we can tell you how he got that way.
The 34-year-old actor landed the starring role in the remake, which he filmed after his action movie Boy Kills World.
He was already in fighting form because of Boy Kills World, but he and The Crow‘s director revealed how he stayed that way. The actor also shared the way that he “cheated” on his diet after they finished the movie.

Director Rupert Sanders told Variety that Bill ate the same thing whenever they went out together.
“It’s basically steak tartare and raw eggs. He was in the gym a lot. He ate very healthily and put us all to shame when we were eating burgers and hot dogs and working late at night in the Czech summer,” he said.
Bill shared his own memories, adding that he had trained “for quite a while” before the movie entered production.
“Me and my trainer kept adding a little bit of weight onto what I’d already be, but I didn’t want to be too big either,” he explained. “It was a tricky one, because they wanted the Crow to be ripped, but the character Eric shouldn’t be. I didn’t feel like the character should be thin, but you can’t afford to split it into six months, the ‘Raging Bull’ kind of way. So we did a lot of weight training and ate a lot of protein.”
While Bill didn’t really suffer cravings, he revealed his “biggest cheat” after the movie was done.
“I really loved what I was eating, so I didn’t feel like I had to cheat,” he told the outlet. “I didn’t eat sugar, but I’m not a big sweet guy. I guess my biggest cheat would be an alcoholic beer. I celebrated after the shoot.”
