Australia A wicketkeeper-batter Maddy Drake is the unbeaten star player by the third day of the unofficial Test series, and has helped her team set the target of 289 for India A. Australia A is dominating the play as India A is facing a big task as they have lost six wickets.
Australia A were at 164/7 at the second day, and then Mani got an early wicket of Lilly Mills. The partnership of the ninth wicket between Maddy and Grace Parsons had its place in Australia A getting close to 250-run mark. This partnership was then broken by Sayali Satghare. Grace collectd 35 runs before she got bowled out. Nicola Hancock stayed till the end until Maddy touched her century.
Priya Mishra was the one to take the final one down for Australia A team. The hosts were bowled out for 260. Maddy stayed unbeaten for 105 runs off 197 balls.
India A started off with a watchful start as a response. The team did not lose wickets to the new ball. Shweta Sehrawat was taken out by Charli Knott, after she scored 21 runs off 49 balls. Before losing the second wicket, Priya and Shubha had a 52-run partnership.
Tejal Hasabnis fell out for a single-digit score. Shubha lost her chance to hit her half-century (45 runs off 98 balls). Skipper Minnu also could not make much of her time on the pitch and got stumped off. By the end of Day 3, India A were 149/6.
