Two children were killed on Saturday while two policemen were among 10 people injured when a blast occurred at a main market near Surkhab Chowk in Balochistan’s Pishin district, a police official said.
Pishin City Station House Officer (SHO) Mujibur Rehman confirmed the casualties to Dawn.com.
According to SHO Rehman, the injured people were taken to the Pishin Civil Hospital.
He added that four of the injured, including the two policemen, were in critical condition and had been referred to a hospital in Quetta after being provided with first aid.
“Apparently, the explosive material was planted in a motorcycle,” the police official said, adding that as a result, three vehicles were damaged.
The Counter-Terrorism Department and the Bomb Disposal Squad have reached the incident site to collect evidence for a probe, SHO Rehman said.
