SHOPPERS are in a frenzy over a supermarket dress that’s “XXX” – and it’s only £14.
Sainsbury’s in-house fashion brand, Tu Clothing, is currently selling the Orange Floral Print Midaxi Tea Dress in store and online.
Shoppers are racing to Sainsbury’s for a £14 dress[/caption] Influencer Poppy Adams said it looks way more expensive[/caption] It has been hailed for its leaf print and flattering shape[/caption]And it’s the perfect transitional piece to take you from summer into autumn thanks to its orange leaf print.
The patterned tea dress boasts short puff sleeves, a tie back waist and flattering V neckline.
It is usually priced at £28 but is currently in the sale for just £14.
Sainsbury’s bosses say: “This midaxi tea dress comes in a bold floral design with short, puff sleeves. Pair with our gold cross front sandals.”
Available in sizes 8-24, it is almost fully sold out online so you’ll need to try and bag it in your local store.
And fashionistas have already been racing to pick one up.
Modelling it in a short Instagram video which has racked up 93,000 views, fashion influencer Poppy Adams gushed: “Ok puffy sleeves, these are quite dramatic aren’t they.
“Not a print I’d usually go for but I think it’s gorgeous. I really like the neckline.
“It looks more expensive than it is.”
Reacting to the try on clip, one social media said: “The way I GASPED when you tried on the dress with the orange print. That was made for you!”
“That orange print dress is lush”, added someone else.
A third wrote: “Red leaf dress = va-va-voom!!”
Someone else who bagged the frock chimed in: “It looks great on. I’ve never worn a long dress before, so impressed. Keeping it for a wedding I’m going to in September.”
Another said: “I bought this dress 2 weeks ago after seeing it online. Beautiful dress, true to size and had numerous compliments when I first wore it.”
“I highly recommend this dress” gushed another shopper.
“So flattering and true to size. It is a tad autumn in its design and a bargain.”
It’s not the only Tu Clothing piece that’s been sending fashion fans wild recently.
We told yesterday how shoppers have been legging it to their nearest store for a “gem of a dress” that looks way more expensive than its £22 price tag – and you can wear it all-year-round.
The Khaki Midaxi Poplin dress has a flattering silhouette to suit all shapes.
And now is the perfect time to snap it up, as shoppers and fashion experts alike have tipped it to be the perfect autumn and winter look with a chunky knit.
When looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or update your basics, there's no need to spend hours walking around clothes shops, or scrolling online. Just pick up a dress or two alongside your fruit and veg...
They’re convenient – Chances are you visit your supermarket more times than a shopping centre or high street.
It’s affordable – For basics to more fashion-led pieces, supermarkets are leading the way for budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap.
They’re more on-trend that you think – With a customer database larger than the average high street store, shops like ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are able to cater to the markets and predict trends in a lot more areas than just food supply.
They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often highly practical too—think plenty of 100% cotton that can be thrown into the washing machine without thought.
