Muggier weather is returning to Acadiana as temperatures stay close to average throughout the weekend. A warmer and more humid morning will be followed by a very hot and muggy afternoon this Friday. High temperatures return to the mid 90s but the heat index will get hotter than 105° for much of the area. A few showers and storms are possible during the afternoon too as rain chances increase to 20%.
More of the same is expected on Saturday. Isolated rain looks a little more likely for Acadiana on Sunday.
