A WOMAN has revealed two top tips for making cash on Vinted – and they’re much simpler than you might think.
Lisa, who has made almost £10,000 by flogging old items on Vinted, has revealed her quick hacks that really makes sales fly.
So if your wardrobe is full of old clothes and shoes that you never wear, and you want to turn them into cash, then you’ve come to the right place.
The self-described “bit of a hoarder”, has sold all things from jewellery, toys, books, clothes, shoes, and handbags on the marketplace app.
She recently confirmed that she has made a jaw-dropping total of £9,707.70 on Vinted, and cashed in a whopping £810.39 in just 10 days.
But now, posting on social media, Lisa shared her top tips for making cash quickly online – including why you should turn bundle deals off.
The savvy saver, who makes “sales on Vinted everyday” and “makes hundreds on Vinted every week”, also revealed the key sentence you should include in your descriptions, as well as why the uploading process is more important than you might think.
Sharing her advice online, Lisa said: “I’ve done a series of five top tips, how to sell more on Vinted and make more money – this is the fifth one, listen up. In fact, it’s two in one.
“Now, this is super super simple but hugely effective.
“I do not put bundle discounts on because I use so many other tricks and and hacks to generate sales that doing bundle discounts would kind of work against me.”
Instead of doing bundle deals, whereby a buyer gets a discount when purchasing more than one item, Lisa shared what to do instead.
She explained: “I never sold bundles, I only ever sold individual items, I started putting onto my listings ‘having a huge clear out please see my other listings’.
“The way you word it, ‘having a huge clear out’ makes it sound like you wanna shift stuff, you wanna get rid of everything and you’re doing it for a bargain.
“You haven’t said that in those words, but it definitely gives people that impression.
“These people go and look at the rest of your wardrobe.”
IF you fancy clearing out your wardrobe and getting rid of your old stuff on Vinted, you’ll need to consider the new rules that recently came into play.
If people are selling personal items for less than they paid new (which is generally the case for second-hand sales), there is no impact on tax.
However, since January 1, digital platforms, including eBay, Airbnb, Etsy, Amazon and Vinted, must share seller information with HMRC as part of a crackdown.
You’re unlikely to be affected if you only sell a handful of second-hand items online each year – generally, only business sellers trading for profit might need to pay tax.
A tax-free allowance of £1,000 has been in place since 2017 for business sellers trading for profit – the only time that an individual personal item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is a profit from the sale.
However, firms now have to pass on your data to HMRC if you sell 30 or more items a year or earn over £1,700.
It is part of a wider tax crackdown to help ensure that those who boost their income via side hustles pay up what they owe.
While your data won’t be shared with HMRC if you earn between £1,000 and £1,700, you’ll still need to pay tax as normal.
Not only this, but Lisa also revealed that the way you upload items onto your Vinted is crucial, as she continued: “Now, here’s the second part of how to get even more sales.
“Upload similar things together – so if you’ve got a few size 10 dresses, upload them all together, so that when people go and look through your wardrobe, they’re all together in one place.
“Kids toys you know, suitable for toddlers, make sure you do all of those listings together.
“If you’ve ever done any kind of sales training, you learn and you are taught, people are lazy.
“The simpler you can make things for people, the better.”

Lisa claimed that these top tips have been incredibly effective in driving her sales, as she concluded: “Since I started putting those words on my listings, I’ve sold so many bundles, and remember before I use those words, I only ever sold individual items, I never sold bundles because I never had bundled discounts on.
“But now I put those words on, I’ve sold countless bundles and big bundles too, and people really do want to make the most out of paying for their postage.
“That tip, I would say, has been one of the most successful things that I’ve put into practice on my Vinted listings, for sure.”

It’s the king of second-hand fashion but I hate Vinted.
There I said it. Yes, it stops items going into landfill. Yes, it helps create additional side-hustle income for many.
And yes, you can get things at bargain prices. But it is just not my (shopping) bag.
From personal experience, I’ve bought ‘cheap’ bundles of children’s clothes only for them to arrive dirty and misshapen.
Plus, with postage and buyer protection they didn’t feel like such a great deal. I much prefer going to my local charity shop or supermarket for kids’ stuff.
I’ve also bought more premium high-street items – a dress from Arket and a skirt from Cos – only to find they didn’t fit properly and the colours were faded.
I attempted a bout of selling stuff but gave up after my £110 Veja trainers got lost in the post and I spent two hours on the phone to Royal Mail.
A major gripe with it is that it still encourages you to spend, spend, spend. I’m not sure I needed the items I did purchase, I just didn’t want to miss out.
Also, the reselling of fast-fashion items – a £5 Shein top on Vinted for £17.50 – makes me feel a bit queasy.
Clothes shopping has become a daily hobby for a lot of people when really it should be something that’s done once or twice a year as a necessity.
But the 18 million Vinted app users clearly disagree with me.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lisaturn1poundaround, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up over 7,700 views.
Social media users were thankful for the helpful advice and were keen to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Will try! Thanks.”
Another added: “Copied because IT’S WORKING!!!!”
Meanwhile, a third person commented: “Wish I could sell one item, never mind a bundle.”
