PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person is dead and two others were sent to the hospital after a seven-car crash involving a manufactured home stuck on the Camas Slough Bridge happened on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the manufactured home being transported via an "oversized load" semi-truck caused the westbound lane of SR 14 at milepost 15 to close down around noon on Thursday.
In an update from Washington State Police Trooper Will Finn, via a post on X, the seven-car crash happened after someone stuck behind the manufactured home attempted to perform a U-turn.
The vehicle was struck, one person died and two others were transported to a local hospital, according to Finn.
Officials said to use alternative routes and avoid the area.
