The Chicago Bears team members are keeping mum on using profanity in the latest season of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears.
The HBO series takes fans behind-the-scenes of the NFL team’s training in Lake Forest, Ill., ahead of the football season.
Longtime fans of the series and the team may well know them for using a lot of curse words, but that is not the case this time, as they have chosen not to be so outspoken with the profanity.
Lead director on the series, Shannon Furman, is revealing the reason why the guys are not cursing as much as before.

“I’ll be honest, this team curses much less than any other team I’ve been around, but it is out of respect for the McCaskey family,” Shannon said on the CHGO Bears podcast.
The McCaskey family refers to the Bears owner Virginia Halas McCaskey, her son, George McCaskey, who is the Chairman of the team, and their family.
“It’s something that they don’t do and wouldn’t want to see it,” she says of the owners. “So it’s just kind of been a decision that was made out of respect for them, letting us in their house and wanting to be respectful to them.”
Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears is currently airing on HBO and Max, with the finale airing next Tuesday, September 3rd.
The Chicago Bears are kicking off the 2024-2025 season with the first official game on Sunday, September 8th.
