'Reduced to ashes': Trump's apocalyptic tweet gets subtle jab from MAGA 'bestie'

Donald Trump returned to X Thursday to rail against his political opponents gathering at the Democratic National Convention but received multiple checks from his supporters.

Trump warned his followers about 5:40 p.m. Eastern Time of chaos to come should Vice President Kamala Harris be elected as president on Nov. 5.

"At the Democrat Convention, they said, 'We’ve got 70 days to act right…After 70 days, we can go back to acting crazy!'" Trump wrote. "What they mean is that they want to get Elected, and then destroy our Country with Radical Left, Marxist/Socialist Policies."

The quote in question appears to be a joke Rev. Mark Thompson made during an address to the Black Caucus panel at the convention Wednesday, as was reported by Fox News.

Trump's campaign leapt on the joke as a promise of chaos and the former president doubled down Thursday.

"We can’t let this happen and, if it does, we won’t have a Country any longer," Trump wrote. "The U.S.A. will be reduced to ashes."

Trump's return to X comes as his social media site Truth Social sees stock prices rise and fall amid speculation on the success of his presidential campaign.

It was met with many welcomes from the MAGA right — including Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) and Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec — and cheers that Trump had returned to "mean tweets" again.

"We need mean tweets and America First policies," wrote Gateway Pundit contributor Sharika Soal. "The DNC ONLY offers crime, race-baiting, and chaos. Trump 2024, all the way!"

But Trump also received two notable checks.

Jonathan Hinkle, the controversial spokesperson of a fringe group called MAGA communism with millions of followers on X, chastised the former president for connecting Harris with the communist party.

"Democrats aren’t Communists, they are woke Zionist capitalists," wrote Hinkle. "Communists serve the people. Zionists serve the genocide."

But it was Ashley St. Clair, the right-wing commentator who made headlines in 2023 when she complained migrants were on her Delta flight, who delivered the lower blow to the political candidate known for his ability to message on social media.

"Yessss Trump tweets are BACK!" St. Clair wrote. "But we aren’t using hashtags anymore bestie."
