Comedian D.L. Hughley stood up for Vice President Kamala Harris Thursday night — and left the crowd members roaring in their seats.
'What's happening, California?" Hughley asked the delegates from Harris' home state. "You know what, in three months, there ain't going to be no living with you all."
Hughley, best known as the eponymous star of the sitcom "The Hughleys" and a Big Four comedian in the "Original Kings of Comedy," came to Chicago Thursday with a slew of jokes that targeted Harris, former President Donald Trump, and even himself.
"I don't blame Donald Trump for not wanting to debate Kamala," Hughley said. "I've been married to a Black woman for 40 years and I ain't won one debate. I'm 0-93,000."
This brought Hughley to the subject of Trump's notorious decision to question Harris' race at a panel with Black journalists in Chicago last month.
"I guarantee you this," Hughley said, "Kamala has been Black a lot longer than Trump has been a Republican."

Reports show Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, has changed his political affiliation five times, registering as a Democrat in 2001.
Hughes predicted a Harris victory in November and referenced Trump's federal lawsuit from 1973 in which the then-real estate mogul was accused of refusing housing to a group of qualifying Black New Yorkers.
"If he keeps sliding in the polls the way he is," Hughley said, "the only thing to keep Kamala out of the White House is if he buys it and refuses to rent it to her."
The crowd erupted in laughter.
Hughley then took a jab at Trump's repeated marriages and a continued theme, saying, "I guess Donald Trump will finally know what it's like when you get left for a younger woman."
