Another player has left Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with one of the club’s top young talents heading off to a club in Spain in search of regular football.
Clearly, Spurs have been looking to clear decks this summer, with a slew of first-team names exiting the club. But, younger players have also moved on, after finding their path to the senior squad blocked.
Jude Soonsup-Bell is the latest development squad player to depart, after sealing a move to Spanish second division side, Cordoba FC.
In an announcement confirming the permanent exit of Soonsup-Bell, the club wrote: “quote.
“more quote.”
Exact details of the transfer are unknown at this stage, but a report from The Athletic prior to confirmation had claimed the 20-year-old would sign on a two-year deal with the option for a further year. Spurs are not receiving a fee, but will get a 40% sell-on fee in the future.
Fabrizio Romano was the first to report on the proposed move, tweeting on Wednesday, August 21, that the young striker would be heading off to Spain, and he even said ‘deal done’ at the time.
While a number of Football League clubs were interested in loaning the former Chelsea striker (BBC), it was decided in August that Soonsup-Bell would be made available for a permanent transfer instead (Mirror).

I’m not sure why we haven’t tried to get a fee for Soonsup-Bell if that is true. He’s a top young talent and we paid money for him from Chelsea, so it’s odd that we’ve just let him go like this. But, this deal is probably good for the player himself, who will no doubt shine in the Spanish leagues.
Hopefully, he can come good over there, work his way up into La Liga, and eventually earn us a decent fee from that reported sell-on clause.
