JERMAINE Jenas is well-known to football fans for both his career on the pitch and his more recent media stint as a commentator.
The former Match of the Day panellist — who was fired from his BBC shows in August 2024 following complaints of “inappropriate behaviour” — is married to Ellie Penfold, so what do we know about her?
It is not known how Jermaine and Ellie first met – but the footballer admitted it was not love at first sight for her.
During a chat with the Belfast Telegraph, he revealed that she did not like his flash Ferrari.
He said: “She actually made me get rid of the car because it was too noisy! She’s told me she thought when we first met that I was a bit of an over-confident idiot, but I won her over finally.”
He added: “She’s been a rock keeping the family going through tough times.”
Ellie enjoys remaining as anonymous as possible, keeping her social media profile private — though she does occasionally appear on Jermaine’s Instagram profile.
While it is currently unknown how much Ellie is worth, we can assume she has amassed enough via her career as a model.
Married to Jermaine, she will also share some degree of financial responsibility with him.

Jenas played for five different clubs in the United Kingdom and played in over 340 league matches. He also played 21 matches for England before retiring from the game in 2016.
The pair met while Jenas played for Tottenham Hotspur and announced their engagement in August 2009.

The couple share three children together, two daughters Geneva and Olivia and a son called Jacob, while Jermaine has an older daughter, Sancha, from a previous relationship who lives in the United States with her mother.
