August 22 – The Romanian government has approved a project to build an entirely new stadium in the north-western Romanian city of Oradea. The new facility will be used by local club FC Bihor, who returned to League 2 of Romanian football last season.
The project cost is €94.4 million, and the money will be provided by the state.
The new stadium will have a capacity of 16,000 seats and should be built within two years.
