BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police arrested a Ballston Spa man for allegedly stealing from his employer. Thomas Crandall, 29, was charged with third-degree grand larceny.
Troopers received a complaint from a Malta business on August 5 saying that it was missing a large amount of metal. Troopers say their investigation determined that the company employed Crandall since July 2023 and without permission, he allegedly removed the metal valued at more than $3,000 from the business's property on July 5.
Crandall allegedly exchanged the metal for cash at a scrap yard. Crandall was arraigned in Malta Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
