IF you’re on a tight budget but want to get the A-list handbag look for less, you’ll want to leg it to Primark.
Worn by celebrities from Rihanna, Bella Hadid and even Jude Bellingham, the Goyard accessory’s monogram design is iconic.
The Parisian brand uses printed cloth that looks and feels like leather, Goyardine, has its own signature monogram of the name and a chevron weave intertwined all over their products.
Their products are luxury and made with expert craftsmanship and they make a limited number a year, and therefore have hefty price tags.
The website doesn’t even have prices available on their website but on average their tote will set you back £1,620.
And the nearly £2,000 the bag has an exclusive waitlist.
So there’s a good chance you won’t be picking one up anytime soon.
But shoppers don’t seem too upset after spotting a bargain dupe in Primark.
The Large Monogram Shopper Bag comes in chocolate brown or green and is only £14.
This makes it £1,606 cheaper than the designer version.
Describing their shopper on the website, Primark bosses say: “Undertake errands with stylish ease with our large monogram shopper bag!”
They added: “Its large shape offers ample room to keep your essentials with you at all times, while smaller additional pouch ensures smaller items are safely stowed away.
“And, we can’t fault the brown monogram patterning too that’ll look chic wherever this gorgeous accessory is off to!
“Now, why not pick up our coordinating makeup bag? Or even the smaller-sized slouchy shopper edition!”
And if you’re looking for something smaller, they’ve got you covered too with a smaller-sized slouchy shopper edition, also £14 and a £10 saddle bag.
You can even get your hands on a stylish weekender bag for £17.
After spotting them in Glasgow’s Argyle street store, one fashionista gushed: “Run to Primark girlies, Goyard dupes” .
Someone else said: “Omg obsessed.”
Meanwhile, a third chimed in: “Dupe alert at Primark. If you know, you know.”
Not everyone’s a fan, however, as another unimpressed shopper wrote: “This is crazy that Primark is trying to copy Goyard. I love Primark, but no.”
