KSI is ready to take a swing at two of boxing’s greatest – once he returns to boxing after suffering a GOLF injury.
The YouTube, boxing and music superstar was due to face Anthony Taylor and Slim Albaher in a wild two-on-one bout on August 31.
KSI was forced to pull out of his August 31 boxing return[/caption]But KSI was agonisingly forced to pull out of the event with an excruciating hand injury – which he reckons was sustained on the green.
He told SunSport: “I really only started feeling it around about mid May. I honestly think I did it through golf.
“But I started feeling a pain in between my knuckles. I didn’t think too much of it.
“I kind of continued, and at times, it would be fine. At times, it would just be randomly hurting. So I got it checked out.
“I saw a doctor, he injected it and I kind of just carried on. Started camp, started punching, started sparring.
“And then it just started to really, really hurt to the point where even the slightest of touches would just fill me with so much pain.
“I’d just be rolling around like, screaming. It hurt a lot. It got to a point where I looked at my trainers, and we all decided that it just doesn’t make sense to fight
“I’m not going to be 100 per cent and yeah, I’ll be able to train but if I’m not able to spar, if I’m not able to punch, I’m not gonna be able to give my all to the audience.”

KSI, 31, last fought in October when he suffered a controversial first defeat via decision to Tommy Fury, 25.
But plans to reschedule his handicap fight against ex-MMA star Taylor, 35, and Slim, 30, look to have been KOd.
Instead, KSI is eyeing the likes of retired greats Floyd Mayweather, 47, and Amir Khan, 37, who he has been linked with previously.
KSI said: “There’s quite a few options. I know people put me versus Mayweather.
“That could be a really exciting fight. Especially after he beat my bro. I’d love to get revenge for that.
“There’s Amir Khan I can fight as well and there’s a few others that makes sense and that excite me.
“So for now, we’ll see. Right now, my main focus is just getting back, getting back to punching.”
Instead of fighting, chart-topper KSI will perform to his adoring fans in the sold out 3Arena in Dublin on next week’s Misfits card while also commentating – with a boxing return shelved till 2025.
He said: “I’m thinking hopefully Q1 of next year.
“I think that’s what we’re looking to aim at. I think any time this year it probably just doesn’t make sense.
“And it’s one of those things where the longer I let it heal, the better for the future rather than me trying to rush back into fighting again and then just get injured again.”
