A forceful Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro brought the Democratic National Convention to its feet on Wednesday as he hit former President Donald Trump and lifted Kamala Harris.
Shapiro asked Democrats to consider a question: "Will we be a nation defined by chaos and extremism or choose a path of decency, honor and continued progress?"
He called Trump a "man with no guardrails who wants to take away our rights," and said the MAGA leader "cloaks himself in the mantle of freedom."

Shapiro said that what Trump offers is "not freedom at all."
"But it’s not freedom to tell our children what books they can read," he said, to applause. "It's not freedom to tell women what they can do with their bodies. It sure as hell isn't freedom to say, 'You can go vote, but he gets to pick the winner.' That's not freedom."
