Starbucks Fall Menu Debuts Early With a Bold New Flavor

Starbucks is celebrating the 21st birthday of its signature Pumpkin Spice Latte by returning the coveted seasonal beverage to menus a bit earlier than expected. The chain is also introducing a brand-new drink which “is reminiscent of the homemade apple pie enjoyed at beloved fall gatherings.”

Beginning tomorrow, August 22, Starbucks fans everywhere can help themselves to a little taste of fall before the leaves drop. Starbucks has never begun its fall season quite this early before, and the chain isn’t stopping with Pumpkin Spice Lattes. The venerable chain is also debuting three new drinks and a fresh bakery item for the chillier months.

The star of Starbucks’ seasonal drink menu is the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, which features “warming spice flavors of chai seamlessly combined with the sweet crisp flavors of apple and the creamy texture of oatmilk,” according to a statement from the coffee retailer. “This new seasonal sip is reminiscent of the homemade apple pie enjoyed at beloved fall gatherings,” it promised.

There are also two new drinks which are available exclusively within the Starbucks app. The Iced Apple Cream Latte is iced espresso combined with milk, cinnamon, hints of apple, and brown sugar. The Iced Apple Almondmilk Flat White is also iced, made with blonde espresso, almond milk and honey, and a non-dairy apple crisp cold foam topping.

Starbucks is also welcoming back to its menus the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, both of which debuted in 2023. Also returning from years past are the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which are topped with a pumpkin spice cold foam.

Starbucks’ new fall bakery item, the Raccoon Cake Pop, features moist vanilla cake covered with a chocolate buttercream layer decorated to resemble a raccoon. It’s one of the chain’s few fall items featuring zero spiced flavors. Also returning are fan-favorite treats such as the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, and the iconic Pumpkin Loaf.
