Fire crews slowed down a wildfire in Solano County early Wednesday that prompted evacuation orders for residents and businesses in Green Valley, authorities said.
At 12:30 p.m., the Amaral Fire was 75% contained, and crews had received no reports of any structures being damaged, according to a social media statement by Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit.
Air drops and ground crew members stopped the forward progress of the blaze at about 12 acres, the agency said. The fire broke out about 10 a.m. in the area of Amaral Court and Rockville Road.
Authorities initially called the fire an immediate threat to life and issued the orders for the Green Valley Highlands area. Those orders were downgraded to warnings by 12:30 p.m.
