COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - A local restaurant that recently opened this spring is holding a festival celebrating all things seafood, specifically oysters.
Hank’s Low Country Seafood and Raw Bar is holding its inaugural Oyster Fest on Sept. 15. The restaurant, at 6 W. Gay St., is holding the festival to celebrate oysters, oyster shucking and roasting, along with a variety of south inspired dishes.
According to the restaurant website, the fest will be held underneath the city's "Current" sculpture, at the intersection of Gay and High streets. The event is also part of a new series called "UnderCurrent" with the goal of hosting community activities and festivals in the area.
Not only will the Oyster Fest have food, but patrons can also expect live jazz, entertainment, wine, beer and signature cocktails from the restaurant.
The festival will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Anyone interested in going to the event is encouraged to reserve their spot. To RSVP, click follow this link. Spots are limited, but the event is free to attend.
