SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police announced the arrest of a Voorheesville man following an investigation into a reported breach of contract. Alan Livingston, 63, was charged with third-degree grand larceny.
On July 18, a Saratoga County resident reported to state police that a contractor had taken a $20,000 deposit to complete a home improvement project, but claimed that the contractor never started the work. The ensuing investigation revealed that the resident had entered a contract in April 2023 with Saratoga Rail Fence and Supply Inc., reportedly owned by Livingston, and that Livingston allegedly failed to start the work or return the victim's deposit after over a year.
Livingston surrendered himself to troopers and he was taken into custody on August 14. He was arraigned at the Saratoga Springs Town Court before being released on his own recognizance. The investigation into the dispute remains ongoing.
