As many of you know, we had a wind sheer event Saturday afternoon. The result was about 40 trees were blown down and debris blown all over the golf course. It was quite a mess, but Rusty and his crew started early Sunday cleaning up. They concentrated on the greens, fairways and roughs to get the course ready for play on Tuesday. Rusty brought in an outside crew with equipment and trucks on Monday and they have done a remarkable job in getting the trees and big debris off the course.
The course will be open Tuesday for play, but there will be some debris along the wood line to contend with. I can’t say enough good things about how Rusty met the challenge and did the impossible in only two days. When you see Rusty, please thank him for his hard work and diligence in getting our course back up and running. He’s the best!
