Determined Molly Mae Hague is poised to deliver the ultimate knockout blow to dumped Tommy Fury by conquering America.
Boxer Tommy, 25, was embarrassingly denied entry to the States last year for a fight after American authorities refused an entry visa after background checks.
But ambitious Molly, also 25, hopes to rake in millions of pounds from lucrative US markets by flogging her Filter by Molly Mae tanning products.
She already makes hundreds of thousands of pounds a year from her range in the UK but is now taking her goods Stateside.
Papers seen by us reveal that she has been granted trademarks for Filter by Molly Mae by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
The process took two years to be finally rubberstamped but it now means she can trade in the US with sole rights to the name for a decade.
Molly already has the name registered with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office. Her UK trademark will also stay in place for 10 years.
The protection in the US and UK will prevent counterfeiters from knocking out bootleg imitations using the product’s name.
An intellectual property lawyer told us: “This gives Molly and her advisors the ability to take action against third parties who may be using the relevant name in the course of trade without consent.
“The mere presence of these kinds of trademarks on the register can also act as a deterrent, where a third party is considering using a name or image without the owner’s consent
“Secondly, it improves Molly’s ability to enter into agreements to commercialise his personal brand with other firms.”
She sells tanning mousse costing £21 a bottle plus tan boosters and mitts and her website tells would-be: “After searching for the perfect formula, Molly-Mae Hague’s dream was to revolutionise the way we tan.
“Naturally streak-free and effortlessly lightweight, Filter by Molly-Mae has been created to achieve a natural, even and illuminating glow, whilst keeping skin bronzed for longer.”
Last week The Sun revealed Molly dumped Tommy after confronting him over claims he had cheated on her during a lads’ holiday just days before she confirmed the split.
Witnesses say Tommy – who shares daughter Bambi with Molly – was partying with a Danish woman the night after their kiss in front of hundreds at a nightspot in North Macedonia.
