ONE of the most anticipated games of the year is an upcoming RPG directed by Katsura Hashino, best known for the modern Persona series.
As we close in on the Metaphor: ReFantazio’s release date, Sega is releasing more information about the upcoming series.
Voice actors for the main cast have been announced[/caption]Persona fans are thrilled with what they have seen so far.
While Metaphor has a mediaeval setting compared to Persona’s modern one, there are a lot of similarities between the two.
Gameplay will be split into social interactions and dungeon exploration, much like the Persona series, but with a different twist.
While there are different archetypes in battles instead of Personas, the fighting still revolves around turn-based party battles.
Sega has just released more information about the upcoming game, including a list of the voice actors who will be part of the English dub.
Among the cast list is Greg Chun, a well-established video game voice actor well known for roles like Adam in Nier: Automata, and Nanba in the Like a Dragon series.
Other actors known for big-name games, such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and Final Fantasy, are also included.
The cast list also includes the five characters that make up your main party: Strohl, Hulkenberg, Gallica, Heismay and the Protagonist.

Aside from Katsura Hashino it features a number of other developers from Persona 5.
Composer Shoji Meguro and character designer Shignori Soejima are both working on Metaphor, which has given players high hopes for the quality.
While it won’t be exactly like the Persona series, we’ve already seen the gorgeous UI and heard the incredible soundtrack those games are known for.
Metaphor: ReFantazio will be released on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on October 11, 2024.
