According to TEAMtalk, the race for Giovani Lo Celso is now heating up as clubs from across Europe have also been joined in the race by Saudi Pro League sides.
Over the last week, a number of sources have named Real Betis and Aston Villa as the two leading contenders for Lo Celso, with both clubs alleged to have made offers for the midfielder (TyC Sports).
However, it emerged over the weekend that AS Roma had also entered the picture, with the Giallorossi allegedly identifying the Tottenham man as a target to replace Paulo Dybala (El Chiringuito).
This information has now been backed up by TEAMtalk, who claim that Dybala is now on the verge of a move to Saudi club Al-Qadisiyah, who have agreed to pay €18m (£15.3m) for the forward.
The report explains that this opens the door for Daniele De Rossi’s side to press ahead with a move for Lo Celso.
However, it is explained that the Serie A side are far from the only one after the midfielder, who also has potential suitors in Saudi Arabia and La Liga.
In addition, other Italian sides are also said to be keeping a close on Lo Celso’s situation as we enter the final week and a half of the transfer window.

It is pretty clear that Betis and Villa are leading the race for Lo Celso’s signature but with the number of suitors growing by the day, it is anybody’s guess where the midfielder will end up.
One would expect the Argentine to lean towards a return to La Liga this summer.
