A MAN has today appeared in court charged with murdering a 19-year-old mum who was stabbed to death at a train station.
Stephanie Marie was discovered in the car park of Crawley station in West Sussex on Sunday morning.
Tragically she couldn’t be saved and was declared dead at the scene.
Jason Pascal Flore, 26, appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with murder.
He spoke only to confirm his name, age and address during the brief hearing.
Flore was remanded into custody to next appear at Lewes Crown Court tomorrow.
Stephanie’s devastated family have now paid tribute to the teen.
They said: “Stephanie was a much-loved daughter, sister and mother.
“We are devastated that her young life has been ended in this way. She had her whole life ahead of her.
“At school she excelled at sport and loved basketball, football and gymnastics.
“We will miss her so much. Life will never be the same.”
The horror unfolded at around 7.10am on Sunday following reports of two people fighting at the station.
Stephanie was discovered with fatal stab wounds, with Flore arrested a short time later.
Senior Investigating Officer, T/Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn said: “Our specialist officers are supporting Stephanie’s family and friends. Please can we ask for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
