As Diablo 4’s Season 5 – the Season of the Infernal Hordes – picks up speed, Blizzard has introduced a bonus that makes it a better time than ever to dive in and experience what Season 5 has to offer.
Mother’s Blessing is an in-game buff that increases experience and gold gained as players engage with seasonal adventures.
The buff will be started on August 20, 12 p.m. PT, and last for a full week, until August 27, 10 a.m. PT. It boosts experience gained by 35% and gold gained by 50%, and Blizzard has confirmed in their announcement that this boost is multiplicative and stacks with other buffs.
The Urn of Aggression, a seasonal bonus that players can spend their Smoldering Ashes on, increases the XP gained from monster kills by +5% per rank, and can be upgraded to rank four.
Elixirs are consumable items that players can unlock at the alchemist. There are 11 different types that have a range of effects, but as well as their primary effect all elixirs also boost experience gained. You can only have one elixir active at a time and they last for 30 minutes. Luckily they persist through character death.
While Mother’s Blessing will only grace the world of Sanctuary for seven days, there is still plenty of time after that to mop up whatever seasonal content you’ve got left. Season 5 is due to last until October 8, after which the game’s first major expansion pack, Vessel of Hatred, releases on October 9.
Blizzard has also announced the patch notes for 1.5.1 that give a boost to the loot that players can expect to gain as they play through Season 5. The patch will drop for players tomorrow, August 20.
Amidst the usual collection of balance tweaks and bug fixes, there are numerous changes that increase loot gained.
