From brick-hurling teen to woman who shoved burning bin at cops… every rioter nailed by Starmer’s ‘standing army’

FROM a brick-hurling teen to a woman who shoved a burning bin at cops, here’s every rioter nailed by Keir Starmer’s “standing army”.

More than 400 people have now been arrested after a week of carnage on England and Northern Ireland’s streets.

Dozens of far-right thugs have already been jailed as the courts work around the hours to deliver justice.

Here are the worst thugs snared by the PM’s 6,000-strong blue army of riot cops.

Leanne Hodgson, 43, was a key member of a far-right riot which broke out in Sunderland on Friday.

Footage showed Hodgson pushing a large bin towards a line of riot cops during the carnage.

A large crowd cheered as Hodgson tried to shove the bin into the police line.

But she was left looking ridiculous after the cops calmly stepped away from the bin, which toppled over.

She also called a police officer a “f****** black c***” during the disorder, a court heard.

Hodgson has pleaded guilty to violent disorder at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court and was jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Hogdson denied taking part in the original march – but claimed she had been out drinking and got involved when the pub closed.

The court was told Hodgson had been “very drunk and angry” during the riot.

Riot yob Hodgson had a “long-running alcohol problem”, the court was told.

District judge Zoe Passfield said Hodgson had made the choice to get involved in the riot.

Passfield added: “This was large-scale mob violence which resulted in fear to the public and damage to local businesses.”

Cops kicked down Hodgson’s front door on Saturday before hauling her out in her underwear.

In footage released by Northumbria Police, officers are seen kicking in a glass door at an address in Sunderland on Saturday morning.

A female officer is seen thumping on the door shouting: “Police, open the door!” while her colleagues scale the garden fence.

The female officer then tells another cop: “There’s someone in, can you put the door through?”

A male officer then boots the glass panel before cops swarm inside the end-terraced property.

Minutes later Hodgson is led out in handcuffs while still wearing a pink and black lace nightie.

Stacey Vint, 34, was seen on video charging towards a line of riot cops with a burning wheelie bin in Middlesbrough.

But she tripped and fell before making contact and was subsequently arrested.

The mum-of-five also abused police officers and refused to leave the area despite repeated requests.

Vint, who was also found in possession of cannabis, admitted violent disorder at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old was jailed for a year and eight months yesterday.

Cole Stewart, 18, was caught on CCTV gloating after hurling bricks at cops in Darlington.

One of the bricks hit a brave riot cop who had been deployed to the riot.

Stewart was arrested at the scene and pleaded guilty to violent disorder.

He was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at Teesside Crown Court.

Assistant Chief Constable Richie Allen said: “Cole Stewart attended the area on Monday night.

“He had the sole intention of causing serious harm to our community and their property.

“He engaged in vile and destructive behaviour and attacked the police officers who were deployed to protect members of the public.”

Derek Drummond, 58, was captured on police bodycam footage punching a riot cop.

Drummond has been given a three-year sentence for the attack, which took place during violence in Southport.

The Liverpool man admitted the offences, which he committed on July 30.

Drummond punched the cop while walking towards a mosque in Southport with a crowd of thugs.

Liverpool Crown Court was shown clips of Drummond kicking and attacking officers as they tried to form defensive lines with shields.

Adam Wharton, 28, burgled a library which had been torched in Walton, Liverpool.

The library opened last year to support one of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the UK and includes a food bank.

Adam acted as a lookout while his brother Ellis looted the library and was arrested nearby while wearing a balaclava.

The court heard he has 16 previous convictions for 28 offences including attempted robbery, robbery, thefts, assault and burglary,

Judge Neil Flewitt KC sentenced Adam to 20 months in prison and jailed his brother Ellis, 22, for 11 months.

John Rowan, defending, said: “The defendant is deeply ashamed and disgusted with himself.

“There can be no excuse or justification for his decision to take the opportunity to enter the streets of north Liverpool and become involved in the burglary of that library.

“More important than a library, a community hub that was disgracefully damaged by fire that night.”

Ryan Sheers, 28, was bitten by a police dog as bystanders laughed after joining thugs rioting in Hartlepool last week.

Footage shows the moment an overconfident Sheers is seen shouting at officers “I pay your wages”.

He and Steven Mailen, 54 headed out on Wednesday to join riots in Hartlepool.

In the clip, shared widely on social media, Sheers drops down into a crouched position, goading cops, at one point even patting his backside.

One officer brings his barking dog towards the former McDonald’s worker to make him move away but Sheers continues to shout.

Suddenly the police officer gives the command for his dog to tackle Sheers and it quickly launches at him.

The dog pulled down the yob’s loosely fitting white shorts while he frantically tried to run away.

He was seen vocally abusing the cops and shouting in their faces by screaming: “Don’t touch me. Don’t touch me. I pay your wages.”

Sheers was caught on his hip by the police dog before having his shorts dragged down his legs, the video shows.

Onlookers could be heard laughing as Sheers struggled to run away.

Sheers admitted a single charge of violent disorder at Teesside Magistrates’ Court and has been jailed for two years and two months.
